Today I would like to introduce some trails and buses in Yangmingshan National Park(陽明山國家公園), Yangmingshan National Park(陽明山國家公園) contains West side and East side, The main of trails in west side include Siangtian mountain(向天山), Miantian mountains(面天山), Datun mountains main peak, west peak, south peak(大屯山主峰．西峰．南峰), and Johngjheng mountains(中正山), the main of the trails for Siangtian mountain(向天山), Miantian mountains(面天山), Datun mountains(大屯山) main peak, west peak, and south peak is Erzihping area trail(二子坪步道), Erzihping(二子坪) area is from Chingtien temple(清天宮) to Erzihping Visitor Center(二子坪遊客中心), from Chingtien temple(清天宮) to Erzihping Visitor Center(二子坪遊客中心) probably 110 minutes for the trails, the forked of the trails is the pavilion, probably 40 minutes from Chingtien temple(清天宮), the west side at pavilion is Siangtian pond(向天池), Siangtian mountains(向天山), and Miantian mountains(面天山), probably 1 hr 40 minutes from the pavilion back to Erzihping area trail(二子坪步道), the east side of pavilion is Datun mountains West peak, south peak and main peak(大屯山西峰．南峰．主峰), probably 1 hr 40 minutes from pavilion to Erzihping Visitor Center(二子坪遊客中心), at Erzihping Visitor Center(二子坪遊客中心) you could choose take bus back to the city or keep walking to Jhuzihhu(竹子湖), Jhuzihhu(竹子湖) is another famous places in Yangmingshan National Park(陽明山國家公園), probably 30 minutes walking from Erzhiping Visitor Center(二子坪遊客中心) to Jhuzihhu(竹子湖), the other main trails in Yangmingshan National Park(陽明山國家公園) west side is Jhongjheng mountain(中正山), from the beginning to the summit probably 1 hr walking, the end at Jhuzihhu(竹子湖), from the Jhongjheng mountains(中正山) summit 1 hr walking on the track and 40 minutes on the pitch route to Jhuzihhu(竹子湖).

Today I would like to introduce some of Taiwanese dessert, Taiwanese culture dessert, most of the dessert, you could find out them in every night market in Taiwan, like Shilin night market(士林夜市), Raohe street night market(饒河街夜市), Taichung Feng-Chia night market(台中逢甲夜市), or Kaohsinung Liuho night market(高雄六合夜市), no matter in north of Taiwan, middle of Taiwan, south of Taiwan, or east of Taiwan, not only in night market, most of time you could find them just on the street just in some noisy places, or department store also.

「Oyster omelet」(蚵仔煎) is one of the famous food in Taiwan, you could see 「Oyster omelet」(蚵仔煎) in every cities of Taiwan, of course you must try「Oyster omelet」 (蚵仔煎) at Shilin Night Market, one of the famous here is No. 500 at Shilin Night Market Snacks Square, the main food of「Oyster omelet」 (蚵仔煎) is oyster and egg, we mixed oyster, egg, less vegetable, and Potato Starch (太白粉), then pen-fried it, after pen-fried the「Oyster omelet」(蚵仔煎) , source is one of the important element of「Oyster omelet」(蚵仔煎) , we used Taiwanese Tabasco(甜辣醬) , the source taste a little sweet and spicy, Taiwanese Tabasco (甜辣醬) is the popular source in Taiwan, you must try it.

Chinese new year is according Chinese traditional calendar, it’s usually between late January to mid February, we have a long break, usually Chinese new year eve to 5th Jan Chinese new year date, Chinese new year is a holiday for family, it’s similar like Christmas eve in western, we have a dinner together with our family in Chinese new year eve, of course we would have a generous dinner in Chinese new year eve, in the past we cook by ourselves, and we get city culture now, we could pre order Chinese new year eve dinner from restaurant, it’s usually freezing food and we heat the food ourselves, and my family use to cook ourselves.

One of Chinese new year traditional foods is new year pudding(年糕), it’s made by glutinous rise(糯米), we usually cook it by fry, we would wrap the egg flour mixed source, it’s taste glutinous, soft and sweet, it’s the most famous dessert in Chinese new year, in Chinese history, we use to worship Chinese god by sweet food, new year pudding(年糕) is a sweet food, it means to say some sweet words to Chinese god, of course say lots sweet words this year to get a great start.

Go hiking with Brian
Today is my first time to take traveler goes hiking. I am happy and exciting, and I also asked Shuyi to goes with me. Shuyi is my friend, she is a university teacher. Brian selected Mt. Cising, it’s the top of Taipei, I remember it’s 1120 meters, today with a good weather with a sunny day, Brian is friendly, talkative, also with a good energy, we hiked very fast today, it’s probably 1 hour to the summit, we only hiked 45 minutes, I was a little panting, but Brian felt good, he told me he doesn’t feel we hike very fast, he could running to the summit, and he really run for a couple minutes, Brian is a student, he studies Chinese in China, so he could speak a little Chinese, and it’s his 4th times to Taiwan, he has been to a lot of places in Taiwan, western, south, it’s sounds like he enjoy in Taiwan, I am glad to know that, and he has been to a lot of countries, 29 countries, he is also good at on traveling, he just went to Mt. Datun two days ago, it’s another famous mountain in Yanmingshan National Park, Shuyi is shy today, she doesn’t speak too much English, and I would like to say thank you to shuyi for hiking with us, I got a good start, I feel really wonderful today, we enjoyed the hiking.

Yangmingshan National Park(陽明山國家公園) is one of valuable places to visit in Taipei City , it’s in the north of Taipei, Yangmingshan National Park(陽明山國家公園)contains east side area and west side area, Cising mountains(七星山) area is the main of east side, Datun mountains(大屯山) area is the main of west areas, the first special things is west sunny east raining, sometimes the west mountains area get a sunny weather but east mountains area get a raining or mist weather especially in winter and spring, because the moonset past the east side, so hiking in west mountains area is good for traveler in winter and spring.
West mountains contains Datun mountain(大屯山), Siangtian(向天山) mountain, Maintian mountain(面天山) and Jhongjheng mountain(中正山), Erzihping(二子坪) trail is the main trail of west side mountains, Erzihping(二子坪) trail is from Chingtien Temple(清天宮) to Erzihping(二子坪) visitor center, Erzihping(二子坪) trail also named butterfly corridor, because it’s with lots of butterfly usually in spring, when you hike from Erzihping(二子坪) trails, Datun mountain(大屯山) is your east side, Datun mountain(大屯山) is the second highest mountain in Taipei City, the highest is Cising mountain(七星山), but Datun mountain(大屯山) is the most difficult for hiking, because it’s very steep, you have to pull the rope, all the Datun mountain(大屯山) areas full of sliver grass, it’s very amazing, sliver grass is one of the sign of Taiwan, sliver grass will change color in fall, it’s well become white color, it’s really special, and after it fall, sliver grass will change color again in spring to summer, it will become green color, hard and deep green, differences seasons with differences views, plants and emotions in Yangmingshan National Park(陽明山國家公園).
